The City of Dax has been awarded with the Prize Territoria GOLD in the “Prevention” category for the project conducted using TRE ALTAMIRA satellite technology for urban management.
In 2009 the City of Dax selected TRE ALTAMIRA as technological partner to start a programme aimed at a better heritage management using satellite technology. This 8-year project is a unique example of the use of satellite technologies for land and urban management. It first started with an historical study that was later extended to a monitoring study from 2012 up to present due to the benefits provided for the risk and urban management in the area.
Created by the French National Public Innovation Monitoring service in 1986, the Territoria prize is an award that recognises innovative ideas from French and European towns, départements and regions in different areas.
