A few months have passed since the last update of the EGMS, the continental-scale InSAR monitoring service providing Europe with millimetric-precise SAR satellite data on ground motion since 2015.

After processing the 2021 Sentinel-1 images and integrating the ground motion measurements with the baseline datasets, the ORIGINAL Consortium, of which TRE ALTAMIRA is a proud member, is pleased to announce that the 2021 annual update is available for viewing and download on the EGMS Explorer. Users can now interrogate the time series of the measurement points from 2015 to 2021.

EGMS 2021 update
A scene from the EGMS visualization portal shows ground displacement in the descending orbit over Madrid, Spain. The displacement time series shows the information on ground motion from 2015 to 2021. Data are from the Sentinel-1 satellite.

You can visit the EGMS web page for more information, or go directly to the EGMS Explorer to access the data. General questions and known issues are addressed in the EGMS FAQ.

EGMS is a project funded by the European Environment Agency (EEA), as part of the Copernicus Land Monitoring Service (CLMS). The ORIGINAL Consortium is formed by e-geos, TRE ALTAMIRA, Norce, and GAFAG, with the collaboration of Nhazca, Earth Metrics, Geological Survey of Norway, PPO.Labs, SGO, and DLR.
