In your role, you’ll apply your InSAR, GIS, and technical skills to assess and manage geospatial datasets and prepare professional reports and presentations for delivery to our clients. Responsibilities

Technical Expertise, Innovation & Data Analysis

  • Conduct post-production of InSAR datasets using ESRI ArcGIS and/or internal tools to ensure data quality and accuracy
  • Write clear, professional reports that effectively incorporate spatial data analysis and geographic information
  • Collaborate and liaise with the data processing team to understand InSAR datasets and ensure they meet required quality standards
  • Apply a creative approach to workflows by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and actively developing or improving internal tools

Client Support

  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships by liaising directly with a wide range of clients from different industries and countries
  • Serve customers by providing product and service information, teaching the fundamentals of InSAR, and presenting results
  • Help clients find the meaning in their data by breaking down complex results into practical, easy-to-understand insights that fit their specific background

Business Impact & Project Management

  • Managing multiple projects and deadlines while delivering on commitments to clients
  • Supporting sales and marketing by preparing material (presentations, case histories, white papers, etc.), attending company booths at tradeshows, as well as attending technical conferences
  • Recommending potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs

Education & Experience requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Geology, Geomatics, Civil, Geotechnical or Mine Engineering, or other related technical disciplines
  • Knowledge of InSAR and remote sensing
  • Good knowledge of ArcGIS software
  • Strong communication skills
  • C-level English knowledge (writing and speaking)

Bonus Assets & Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience in customer service
  • Knowledge of mining, oil&gas or civil engineering sectors
  • Experience with other geospatial tools (GDAL, QGIS, Python)

TRE ALTAMIRAis seeking an InSAR Geoscientist to join our team in Vancouver. In this role, you will be responsible for leveraging InSAR data to track millimeter-scale ground movements, interpreting that data within a geological context, and delivering high-level insights to our clients. This position requires a deep understanding of geophysical processes, GIS skills, and an Earth Sciences background.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deformation Analysis: Assess and interpret InSAR and remote sensing datasets to monitor subsidence, slope stability, or other ground movement
  • Project Management: Lead projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines are met and technical standards are exceeded
  • Client Engagement: Act as a technical subject matter expert in meetings, translating complex geophysical data into actionable reports for stakeholders
  • Reporting: Use advanced GIS and writing skills to produce high-quality technical documentation and visualizations that clearly communicate actionable information to clients

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Educational Background: Master’s or PhD in an Earth Sciences discipline, including, Geological or Geotechnical Engineering, Geophysics, or other related fields. (Note: We are specifically looking for candidates with a strong foundation in physical earth processes)
  • Remote Sensing Expertise: Proven experience analyzing InSAR and other remote sensing data
  • GIS Proficiency: Advanced skills in ArcGIS Pro, including experience with spatial analyst toolsets and automation (Python/ArcPy)
  • Geodynamics: A firm grasp of how the earth moves—understanding the mechanics of soil, rock, and tectonic displacement is essential
  • Professionalism: Demonstrated experience in a client-facing role and a track record of managing project lifecycles

  • Experience with multi-temporal InSAR analysis

  • Providing outstanding service to build lasting, professional relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Writing clear professional reports and presentations that incorporate critical thinking and spatial data analysis
  • Liaising with the data processing team to understand and improve InSAR data sets to meet internal standards and client expectations
  • Supporting the sales and marketing team by preparing figures, presentations and other support material

TRE ALTAMIRA is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Software Developer to support the following project. Our ERP system is being migrated to a new platform and as part of this migration, we are moving some of the current ERP system features to our internal toolset. These features are being redesigned as simple Golang API webservers that will integrate with our new infrastructure, existing PostgreSQL database, and internal services like Asana and Factorial.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in SW development
  • Proficient in Golang
  • Minimum 2 years+ of backend engineering experience
  • Experience testing backend services such as APIs, Databases, distributed services (non-monolithic)
  • Experience in relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of Kubernetes
  • GCP infrastructure knowledge (Google Datastore, Cloud SQL, GKE, etc.) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Build solid, secure, performant, and scalable APIs to serve front-end platforms
  • Design and implement efficient & scalable Golang services
  • Optimize existing codes to improve performance and efficiency
