TRE ALTAMIRAis seeking an InSAR Geoscientist to join our team in Vancouver. In this role, you will be responsible for leveraging InSAR data to track millimeter-scale ground movements, interpreting that data within a geological context, and delivering high-level insights to our clients. This position requires a deep understanding of geophysical processes, GIS skills, and an Earth Sciences background.

Key Responsibilities
- Deformation Analysis: Assess and interpret InSAR and remote sensing datasets to monitor subsidence, slope stability, or other ground movement
- Project Management: Lead projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines are met and technical standards are exceeded
- Client Engagement: Act as a technical subject matter expert in meetings, translating complex geophysical data into actionable reports for stakeholders
- Reporting: Use advanced GIS and writing skills to produce high-quality technical documentation and visualizations that clearly communicate actionable information to clients
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Educational Background: Master’s or PhD in an Earth Sciences discipline, including, Geological or Geotechnical Engineering, Geophysics, or other related fields. (Note: We are specifically looking for candidates with a strong foundation in physical earth processes)
- Remote Sensing Expertise: Proven experience analyzing InSAR and other remote sensing data
- GIS Proficiency: Advanced skills in ArcGIS Pro, including experience with spatial analyst toolsets and automation (Python/ArcPy)
- Geodynamics: A firm grasp of how the earth moves—understanding the mechanics of soil, rock, and tectonic displacement is essential
- Professionalism: Demonstrated experience in a client-facing role and a track record of managing project lifecycles
What Sets You Apart
- Experience with multi-temporal InSAR analysis
- Prior experience in civil engineering, mining, or oil and gas monitoring
- Strong coding skills for process automation and custom geospatial tool development
