TRE ALTAMIRA is excited to be part of the North American Tunneling (NAT) Conference. It is the premier biennial tunneling event for North America with an expected 1000 attendees. This four-day conference provides access to a technical program focused on the current tunneling projects, challenges and successes throughout North America.

We invite you to come by our booth #543 at the show if you would like to learn more about satellite-based InSAR ground motion monitoring.

InSAR analysis during Cross rail metro line construction
London, Crossrail metro line construction. With each new satellite image acquisition, the progression of subsidence near the tunnel alignement is tracked with millimetre accuracy. Includes material © DLR e.V. 2011-2017 and © Airbus Defence and Space 2017 all rights reserved.

TRE ALTAMIRA’s advanced InSAR technique, SqueeSAR®, detects and measures surface deformation from space using radar satellites so there is no need for site visits or in situ instrumentation. It is used both to look at the impact of active tunneling on neighboring buildings and structures as well as the longer-term impact once tunneling is completed (eg. settlement over tunnel alignment).
