Requirements for the Role

  • Experience in single page application and more general knowledge in designing user interfaces
  • Experience with Flutter WEB and/or React

Our Vancouver office is looking for a Sales Manager for the Canadian and US Energy Sector to manage business development in this sector and expand TREA offerings in an effective and efficient manner, as well as to play a role in the development of the company as it grows.

Principal Duties

The position will have the following tasks and goals:

  • Develop new customers and maintain existing customers within the Energy sector
  • Develop new leads, develop business relationships and close contracts in the relevant sectors
  • Preparing bids in response to RFPs and making unsolicited proposals within the sectors
  • Prepare and present technical and business papers at national and international trade shows and conferences
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients, support the current and future deliverables to these clients
  • Make appropriate sales trip to develop the sector
  • Attend appropriate trade shows and exhibitions and represent TREA at those shows
  • Suggest and give input into the production of marketing materials
  • Work in close cooperation with other parts of the TRE Altamira Group and CLS to foster information exchange regarding the sector and share technical and operational solutions with them

Supplementary Duties

The Sales manager will also engage in wider activities of the company by:

  • Providing support to the CEO and Operations efforts of the company
  • Liaising with the Accounts Department on cost and budget issues
  • Contributing ideas to improve the company’s overall service to customers
  • Take on other business sectors commensurate with the company needs
  • Other duties as required

Education & Experience

  • Proven sales experience in the Energy Sector, at least 3 years plus
  • Experience with Geospatial and/or InSAR technology
  • Post-secondary education in Geology, Geomatics, Civil, Geotech, Engineering, or other related disciplines
  • Knowledge of remote sensing is an asset
  • Knowledge of a foreign language is an asset (e.g. Italian, Spanish, French)

The Post-Processing Team is dedicated to the analysis of SAR data and the delivery to the Clients with a strong focus on customer support. This role requires a good GIS expertise, excellent writing and communication skills, problem solving and negotiation attitude. The Candidate should enjoy the challenge of learning new things and he/she love applying his/her skills to fulfill clients’ needs.

Specific responsibilities and duties

  • Serves customers by providing product and service information and resolving product and service problems
  • Conducting post-processing of InSAR datasets with ESRI ArcGIS software to ensure data quality and accuracy
  • Liaising with the data processing team to understand the InSAR data sets and ensure they meet required quality standards
  • Presents results to clients. Liaising with clients to build and maintain strong, professional relationships
  • Managing multiple projects and deadlines while delivering on commitments to clients
  • Resolves product or service problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint, determining the cause of the problem, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, expediting correction or adjustment, and following up to ensure resolution
  • Writing clear professional reports that incorporate spatial data analysis and geographic information
  • Recommends potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs
  • Supporting sales and marketing by preparing material (presentations, case histories, white papers, etc.), attending company booths at tradeshows, as well as attending technical conferences

Education & Experience requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Geology, Geomatics, Civil, Geotechnical or Mine Engineering, or other related technical disciplines
  • Knowledge of InSAR and remote sensing
  • Good knowledge of ArcGIS software
  • Competency with the Microsoft Office suite (including Word, PowerPoint and Excel)

  • Proven previous experience in signal processing, statistical analysis, linear and non-linear problems optimization
  • Data analysis and computer programming skills

The Candidate will process and analyze satellite Radar images to deliver timely and high-quality information products to our clients and will proactively propose strategies to improve the efficiency of production procedures.
This role requires a sound knowledge of Radar data processing, in particular conventional and advanced InSAR techniques.
The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary and international environment, including signal processing engineers, geologists, software developers.

Main activities

  • Process and analyze satellite Radar images with proprietary software (SqueeSAR®)
  • Identify best processing strategies for each project, taking into account all factors that could affect the results
  • Liaising with the Customer Support team to create deliverables that respect the Company quality standards
  • Explore and suggest new techniques to improve products
