TRE ALTAMIRA is looking for a permanent, full-time InSAR Post-Processing engineer/geologist for the development of the business in France.

The new employee will be part of the team dedicated to the analysis, exploitation and reporting of the InSAR results to be delivered to our Clients.
This role requires very good GIS expertise, excellent writing and communication skills, as well as a strong focus on Clients. An InSAR expertise is not mandatory, although the Candidate is supposed to pick up new technologies quickly, should enjoy the challenge of learning new things and she/he loves applying her/his skills to fulfil clients’ needs.

The work location is Toulouse, France.

Specific responsibilities and duties

  • Managing InSAR datasets with ESRI ArcGIS software to tailor datasets to the needs of the end-users while ensuring data quality and accuracy
  • Writing clear professional reports, mainly in French, that incorporate spatial data analysis and geographic information
  • Preparing professional presentations to deliver our results to clients in coordination with the sales and technical managers, attending meetings with them. Liaising with clients to build and maintain strong, professional relationships
  • Managing multiple projects and deadlines while delivering on commitments to clients
  • Compiling, managing and integrating spatial datasets obtained from a variety of sources including geological data, production information, optical imagery, and existing maps
  • Liaising with the data processing technical team and the sales teams
  • Supporting in the redaction of technical specifications of tenders and proposals
  • Supporting sales and marketing by preparing material (presentations, case histories, white papers, etc.), attending company booths at tradeshows, as well as attending technical conferences

Required experience and skills

  • At least 4 years of related work experience
  • Master degree in Engineering disciplines (Electronic, Geotechnical, Environmental, Civil) or Geology, Geomatics
  • French native level
  • Advanced knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Pro software
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client interactions and deliver client presentations
  • Excellent competency with the Microsoft Office suite (including Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • C level English knowledge (writing and speaking)

The followings skills are an asset

  • Geotechnical, civil engineering background
  • Geological background
  • Knowledge of surveying techniques
  • Knowledge of remote sensing
  • PhD
  • Familiarity with geotechnical, Oil&Gas or mining sectors

TRE ALTAMIRA is looking for a permanent, full-time Business Development Manager for the French area.

As a member of the sales team, the Business Development Manager is expected to manage and conduct sales activities of TRE ALTAMIRA in an effective and efficient manner, as well as to play a role in the development of the company as it grows. This will require the incumbent to contribute to strategic decisions as they relate to TRE ALTAMIRA.

To meet our values, we are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate, constructive, professional and performing person who will proactively contribute to the success of the company. The candidate will report to the CEO of the Barcelona office of TRE ALTAMIRA.

The work location will be discussed with the candidate.

Main responsibilities and duties

The position will have the following tasks and goals for the area of competence:

  • Reach the sales goals in terms of project revenues and profitability.
  • Maintain and develop the existing portfolio of clients and projects.
  • Identify new opportunities, develop new business relationships and close new contracts.
  • Prepare bids in response to RFPs, tenders and make unsolicited proposals.
  • Prepare and present technical and business papers at national and international trade shows and conferences.
  • Make appropriate sales trip to develop the business.
  • Attend appropriate trade shows and exhibitions at which TRE ALTAMIRA should be visible and represent the company at those shows.
  • Suggest and give input to the production of marketing materials.
  • Work in close cooperation with the CEO, the rest of the sales team, the operations and the accounting teams to balance the growth of new business with the capacity to deliver such new business.
  • Work in close cooperation with other sales managers and the TRE ALTAMIRA group to foster information exchange regarding the business and share technical and operational solutions with them.

Supplementary Duties

  • Providing support to the CEO and Operations efforts of the company.
  • Liaising with the Accounts Department on cost and budget issues.
  • Contributing ideas to improve the company’s overall service to customers.
  • Fostering the sharing of information among the staff of TRE ALTAMIRA and promoting TRE ALTAMIRA’s corporate culture to produce a workplace where staff are content and productive.

Education & Experience requirements

  • French native level with excellent communication, listening and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in English (writing and speaking).
  • BSc/BA in Business Administration /Sales /International Business /Management /Civil, Geotechnical, Environmental or Telecom Engineering /Geology or other related technical disciplines.
  • Communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build rapport.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
  • Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or similar relevant roles.
  • Knowledge of InSAR and remote sensing.
  • Knowledge of surveying techniques.
  • Proven experience in the geotechnical sector.

Published on April 23rd, 2020. TRE ALTAMIRA is looking for candidates with an engineering technical background to join our InSAR operations team distributed in the three offices.

The Candidate will process and analyze satellite SAR images to deliver timely and high-quality information products to our clients, and will proactively propose strategies to improve the efficiency of production procedures. This role requires a sound knowledge of SAR data processing, in particular conventional and advanced InSAR techniques. Proactive attitude, excellent capability in problem solving and strong motivation is mandatory for this position.

The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary and international environment, including signal processing engineers, geologists, software developers. An excellent attitude to team working is mandatory.

Your role

  • Process and analyze satellite SAR images with proprietary software (SqueeSAR®).
  • Identify best processing strategies for each project, taking into account all factors that could affect the results.
  • Liaising with the Post-processing team to create deliverables that respect the Company quality standards.
  • Explore and suggest new techniques to improve products
  • Support Sales department providing technical consultancy

Required experience and skills

  • Demonstrated sound knowledge in InSAR technology
  • Sound knowledge of Linux environment
  • Good knowledge of MATLAB™ software
  • C level English knowledge (speaking and writing)
