Published on February 16th, 2021. TRE ALTAMIRA is looking for a permanent, full-time InSAR Post-Processing Operator with a geological or engineering technical background for the development of the business in Germany and other countries.

The new employee will be part of the team dedicated to the analysis, exploitation and reporting of the InSAR results to be delivered to our Clients.
This role requires a good knowledge of remote sensing data, InSAR in particular, GIS expertise, excellent writing and communication skills, as well as a strong focus on Clients.
The Candidate is supposed to pick up new technologies quickly, should enjoy the challenge of learning new things and she/he loves applying her/his skills to fulfil clients’ needs.

Main responsibilities and duties

  • Managing InSAR datasets with ESRI ArcGIS software to tailor datasets to the needs of the end-users while ensuring data quality and accuracy.
  • Writing clear professional reports, mainly in German, that incorporate spatial data analysis and geographic information.
  • Preparing professional presentations to deliver our results to clients in coordination with the sales and technical managers, attending meetings with them.
  • Liaising with clients by providing valuable and timing information about our products and services and answering technical questions, to build and maintain strong, professional relationships.
  • Managing multiple projects and deadlines while delivering on commitments to clients.
  • Compiling, managing and integrating spatial datasets obtained from a variety of sources including geological data, production information, optical imagery, and existing maps.
  • Liaising with the data processing technical team and the sales teams.
  • Supporting in the redaction of technical specifications for proposals.
  • Supporting sales and marketing by preparing material (presentations, case histories, white papers, etc.), attending company booths at tradeshows, as well as attending technical conferences.

Required education, experience and skills

  • At least 4 years of related work experience.
  • Master degree in Engineering disciplines (Geotechnical, Mining, Environmental, Civil) or Geology, Geomatics.
  • German native level.
  • Advanced knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Pro software.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client interactions and deliver client presentations.
  • Excellent competency with the Microsoft Office suite (including Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
  • C level of English knowledge (writing and speaking).

The followings skills are an asset

  • Knowledge of InSAR, remote sensing and surveying techniques.
  • Previous working experience in customer support.
  • Familiarity with geotechnical, Oil&Gas or mining sectors.

Published on January 4th, 2021. TRE ALTAMIRA is looking for a full-time Junior Post-Processing Operator with a geological or engineering technical background. The location will be in Milan, Italy.

The Post-Processing Team is in charge of SAR data analysis, data quality check, and data delivery, with a strong focus on customer support. This role requires a good knowledge of remote sensing data and geographic information systems, excellent writing and communication skills, problem solving and negotiation attitude. The Candidate should enjoy the challenge of learning new things and applying his/her skills to fulfil clients’ needs.

Your role

The candidate is expected to:

  • Serve customers by providing valuable and timing information about our products and services, answering any technical question about our deliverables.
  • Perform post-processing tasks on InSAR datasets, using ESRI ArcGIS software tools, ensuring data quality and accuracy and meeting all project requirements.
  • Liaise with the data processing team to extract as much information as possible from the data and make sure the deliverables are compliant with all technical specifications.
  • Present results to our clients. Liaising with them to build and maintain strong, professional relationships.
  • Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Solve any issues related to our products – possibly with the support of the production or the sales team – determining the cause of the problem, identifying the best solution, explaining any remediation actions to the client, and following up to provide any support for a proper solution.
  • Write professional, high-quality, reports, identifying the most relevant information for the client and the project and suggesting any possible future options to “solve the problem”.

Published on April 23rd, 2020. TRE ALTAMIRA is looking for candidates with an engineering technical background to join our InSAR operations team distributed in the three offices.

The Candidate will process and analyze satellite SAR images to deliver timely and high-quality information products to our clients, and will proactively propose strategies to improve the efficiency of production procedures. This role requires a sound knowledge of SAR data processing, in particular conventional and advanced InSAR techniques. Proactive attitude, excellent capability in problem solving and strong motivation is mandatory for this position.

The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary and international environment, including signal processing engineers, geologists, software developers. An excellent attitude to team working is mandatory.

Your role

  • Process and analyze satellite SAR images with proprietary software (SqueeSAR®).
  • Identify best processing strategies for each project, taking into account all factors that could affect the results.
  • Liaising with the Post-processing team to create deliverables that respect the Company quality standards.
  • Explore and suggest new techniques to improve products
  • Support Sales department providing technical consultancy

Required experience and skills

  • Demonstrated sound knowledge in InSAR technology
  • Sound knowledge of Linux environment
